We Have a Good Time at Sunset Hills Country Club. It's Like a Family Reunion That Goes on All Year!
There isn't a lot of down time here at Sunset Hills Country Club and not too many openings on the calendar. We're blessed with an active, participatory membership that enjoys one another's company.
Large and small, it seems like there's always something taking place – could be a Kid's Camp or ladies golf league; could be a few members enjoying the bluebird nesting stations they've put up.
Bring your family. Bring your ideas. Bring your thirst for fun to Sunset Hills and you will not be disappointed!
Golf leagues give you the chance for friendly competition
Men's League
The men of Sunset Hills have ample opportunity to play competitive golf -- March through September on Tuesday evenings to be specific.
We offer two start times for this nine-hole league. The best four individual scores count toward your team total each night, with two sessions in the season. Awards are annually presented at the end of the season.
Ladies Leagues
We have a very active LGA, and Sunset Hills offers two ladies leagues – a nine-hole league on Wednesday evenings, and an 18-hole league on Thursday mornings. Both run April to October and you're cordially invited to play either or both. Any and all levels of golfers are welcome.
There's a kick-off dinner and a finale event for both. (Of course there is, remember Sunset Hills is all about fun!)

Summer Kid's Camp will hold your youngsters' attention, expand their experience and teach them sportsmanship.(Oh yeah — they'll have a blast doing it!) We hold two, one-week Kid's Camp sessions in June and July, with sign-up in May. This fun time activity is open to kids aged four to 12.
During each week-long session, we have activities including chef school, swimming instruction, basic dive instruction, basic tennis instruction, golf instruction, fishing, arts and crafts and more!
Social events are an exciting part of the Sunset Hills experience. Our members find our activities an integral part of their family's lifestyle. Some of our most popular events are:
President's Ball - A black tie evening for members only, consisting of cocktails, hors d' oeuvres, a formal dinner, and dancing. This event honors the current and past presidents of the club and is the highlight of the social events calendar.
Camp Sunset Hills - You and your family enjoy the fun and excitement of camping and leave the planning to us. We provide kid's activities, camp food, and a M*A*S*H tent with full bar service for the adults. This is camping country club style!
Thanksgiving Buffet - Live piano music and all the Thanksgiving trimmings served brunch style. We offer breakfast selections along with traditional favorites like roast turkey, ham, oyster dressing, roasted sweet potatoes, a seafood bar, and a bountiful dessert display.
Breakfast with Santa - Santa comes to the club every year. A family favorite, this event lets you skip the long lines at the mall waiting for Santa, and instead offers you the ability to have a nice breakfast buffet with good friends.
4th of July Pool Party - A weekend long celebration with a DJ, games at the pool, BBQ buffet, bounce house, free popcorn and cotton candy, karaoke and more. In fact, we've been known to have a "Dive-In" Theatre — similar to a drive-in theatre but the movies show on an inflatable screen at the pool!
We also host other holiday events like the Valentine's Dinner, Ladies Holiday Luncheon, Candlelight Dinner with Carolers, Super Bowl Party, Easter Brunch, Mother's Day Brunch, and New Year's Eve Dinner.
Beyond our holiday events, we host many other fun social events: Wine Dinners, Beer Dinners, Family Fun Nights every Friday, Birthday Nights, Outdoor Rock Concerts, Happy Hours, Taste Arund the World and more.
And, of course, we have many golfing events with the opportunity to socialize: Shamrock Shamble, Derby Day, U.S. Open Pro-Member, 4th of July Weekend Flag Tournament, Club Championship, ABCD Fall Scramble, and more. We even have a weekend-long golfing event that is sure to please: the Men's Member-Guest Weekend.
