First-class recreational offerings await you at every turn at Sunset Hills.  Some country clubs offer pitiful excuses when it comes to tennis and swimming – you know the kind-a fenced-off corner of an asphalt parking lot is not tennis and a hole in the ground full of water is not a pool!

Rest assured – the recreational offerings here at Sunset Hills away from golf are of the same high standards that you find on the golf course – and those are awfully high! Since we do take our fun seriously, you'll find that our swimming and tennis programs are on par with the finest country clubs anywhere.

Cooling off in our Olympic-sized pool, or kicking your feet in the wading pool are both popular summertime diversions for members and their guests on hot, Midwest summer days. There's a genuine family atmosphere at the pool, so relax and gather for poolside socializing.

Our poolside snack bar offers lunch and dinner with service right to your lounge chair, so you don't miss any of the action. Be sure to hit one or all of our  “Family Fun Nights” throughout the summer, with live entertainment and great theme food.

Like your swimming with a little competition? Join the Stingrays!
The Stingrays swim and dive teams are a big part of summer activity here, with the kids' teams competing in SWISA (Southwestern Illinois Swim Association). Stingrays Swim/Dive team. Sign-ups are in May, the season begins in June and the last meet is in August.  Children six to 18 are welcome. Practice is Monday through Friday.

While we try to win meets, our principal emphasis is on participation, team spirit and the importance of giving your best effort.

There's always a lifeguard on duty. Pool hours vary, but the pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. We also have group and private swimming instruction for all skill levels taught by qualified instructors.

If tennis is your racquet you've come to the right place!
Complementing the excellent golf facilities at Sunset Hills are our four lighted, outdoor tennis courts overlooking the lake. Refurbished in 2001, the courts are thoroughly maintained and equipped with privacy and wind screens.

Our great tennis program is geared for all family members and is certain to be the hit it has always been with juniors and adults alike. Be sure to bring your racquet and get ready for an exhilarating game of tennis.
