A solid drive down the left side will challenge the water but sets up a shot at this well-protected green in two. Notice the hazard that protects this hole left. The green runs from front to back, and any player bailing to the right side of the fairway will have to contend with the deep bunker front and right of this green. | |

This hole plays dramatically uphill and is considered the most difficult par four on the course. This is a hole that favors the long hitters who can run their drives up the right side of the fairway. But beware of a large tree at 100 yards that will block any drive straying too far right or not hit far enough. Short hitters need to take a line left using the fairway bunkers as a target.
The second shot can range from a long iron to wedge depending on the driving route. Putts are deceptive to read and tend to break toward the valley on the right. Beware of the bunker fronting the green, as the putting surface runs away.

This hole plays as the most difficult par three on the course. The tee shot is downhill and plays a club shorter to a shallow, well-protected green. The surface slopes severely from front to back and is marked by a false front and deep bunkers right and short.

Another gorgeous risk reward hole. Players can use a long iron or fairway wood to avoid hazards both right and left. The second shot is blind and players should not be bold. Avoid the deep bunkers short and right of the green and a hazard long. A good, long iron second shot will leave just a short pitch to a green that slopes away from the player and is bisected front and back by a ridge.

The tee shot on this hole requires a long iron to avoid deep woods and hazards both right and left. The landing area is small, but a good drive will leave a pitch of between 80 to 100 yards to a small green fronted by a stream and flanked by bunkers.

A stream that will devour a shot missing the green right marks this short par three. A player that bails out left of this narrow green will face a downhill pitch, running away toward the creek. Once on the putting surface, par is not guaranteed as the green is 40 yards deep and features three levels.

A great finishing hole that will yield some birdies and causes some double and triple bogeys. It is an uphill par four with out-of-bounds left and very deep bunkers right. This hole plays longer than its yardage indicates. Keep left of the fairway bunkers from your tee shot. A small, elevated green with a dramatic false front awaits.

A play with a long iron between the cross fairway bunkers leaves a short iron to a firm and well-bunkered target from a hanging lie. Or you can challenge the hole by driving 260 yards over the second cross-bunker. If you can avoid the hazard on the right, it will leave a short pitch and good chance at birdie.

Another of Sunset Hills' challenging par fives. A relatively wide fairway invites the player to use the driver off the tee. Only the very longest drive will go for the green in two.
To avoid a blind water hazard left and out-of-bounds right, the prudent play is a long iron to set up a short iron third shot. Once on the putting surface, the player will have to contend with a severe ridge that divides the green in half and provides some very difficult pin locations on the front section.

A long iron is required to a narrow green with water guarding the front and right. Players bailing out left will contend with out-of-bounds and a green that slopes severely left to right.

This is a true three-shot hole. Players need to contend with the blind fairway bunker left and trees right. Depending on conditions, a 3 wood is not a bad choice off the tee. The second shot requires a long iron to a tight landing area guarded by water right and out-of-bounds left. The third shot is uphill and requires one extra club.

Another one of Sunset Hill's awe inspiring driving holes has out-of-bounds left and bunkers and hazard right. This hole plays downhill, and a good drive can carry over a ridge at 150 yards and leave a short iron played to an elevated, well-bunkered green.

This downhill par three is deceptively difficult. The green is large but very subtle, and a ridge dissects it into thirds. Look for the pin placements on this hole to bring the deep bunkers left of the green into play.

This is a challenging hole. There is out-of-bounds and a bunker left. The fairway narrows to 18 yards in driving area so accuracy is key. A good tee shot with a driver or 3 wood will set up a short to middle iron to a well-bunkered green.
